Congrats to the International Potato Center

Updated: Feb 24, 2021

Excellence Through Stewardship would like to recognize the International Potato Center for successfully completing their audit under the ETS Global Audit Process. The ETS Global Audit Process ensures that our members have in place stewardship programs and quality management systems consistent with the Excellence Through Stewardship initiative.

The International Potato Center (CIP), one of the CGIAR centers, is a research-for-development organization with a focus on potato, sweet potato, and Andean roots and tubers. CIP is dedicated to delivering sustainable science-based solutions to the pressing world issues of hunger, poverty, gender equity, climate change and the preservation of our Earth’s fragile biodiversity and natural resources. CIP uses the full power of genetics, including gene technologies, to deliver more robust and nutritious varieties for the developing world. CIP stewardship policies and procedures complement those of its key partners at the Bioscience for east and central Africa hub at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in Kenya and the National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO) in Uganda.
