Audit Process

A key element of the ETS Stewardship Objectives, Principles and Management Practices are the Global Stewardship Audits conducted to verify that appropriate stewardship programs and quality management systems are in place. ETS audits conducted are applicable to the ETS member’s specific activities and operations. These audits are conducted by independent, third-party auditors who have participated in the ETS Auditor Training Program and have received their "ETS Qualified Auditor" certificate.

ETS establishes minimum audit requirements that member companies are required to meet using audit criteria and methods that meet Excellence Through Stewardship® Objectives, Principles and Management Practices. Auditable operations of ETS members are defined by the operations in which they are involved and declared at the time of their application and on the information provided to the ETS office.
